Merry Christmas!

We wrap up our Advent series this week! What is Christmas all about? When you get behind all the special traditions and tinsel and tunes, what does this season really represent? Of course, the short answer is “the birth of Jesus.” But a more full answer can be found in Paul’s explanation in Philippians 2 of the divine decision that made the birth of Jesus possible in the first place. In this well-known and much-loved passage, the Holy Spirit gives us an astonishing, behind-the-scenes look at what was required for the Son of God to become flesh.

Beginning January 16, our adult Bible class will be studying the topic of the Bible StorylineHere is the link for the textbook we will use if you want to purchase it and start reading ahead. We will also offer a second class on Biblical Principles of Personal Money Management. The workbook for this class will be supplied in class.

Please join us for our candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 5pm on Friday, Dec 24. We will have overflow seating available in the gym, so please bring your friends and family.

We’ve also set out several Bible Reading Plans for the coming new year. Stop by the table in the foyer to pick one up. If you don’t make it in to the church, please email [email protected] to ask for a plan.

Please see the attached bulletin for further announcements and prayer focus this week.
